The Robert Sorby Skew Cutter is engineered for precision cutting in confined spaces, enabling the turner to achieve sharp, clean square edges. Its profile provides controlled stock removal in tight corners while maintaining a consistent surface finish.
Sharpening & Maintenance:
To maintain optimal performance and prolong the life of your cutter, lightly and regularly sharpen the top face using a diamond file or honing stone. Sharpening can be done while the cutter is mounted on the tool, or you can use the 472 cutter holder to reshape the profile with the Robert Sorby ProEdge system or a grinding wheel.
