Description
The official song of the state of West Virginia (and the unofficial school song of WVU), “Take Me Home, Country Roads” was added to the Mountaineer Marching Band pregame routine in 1972 and has been performed in Morgantown ever since. The football team featured this classic design on their helmets in the same era, bringing home several Peach Bowl victories in the process. “Almost Heaven, West Virginia…”
