For all the brewers out there who’ve switched from clear carboys to stainless we hear this unanimous complaint: I can’t see my beer fermenting anymore! Brewers are curious by nature and we’re not one to stop that curiosity—so here is our solution to that problem.
Spike’s engineers designed a clear polycarbonate (same material as bullet proof glass) cap which allows you to see inside the top of the conical when it’s fermenting. This has also been tested against common brewery chemicals and has held up against the likes of PBW and StarSan.
