Shinwa Stainless Steel Contour Profile Gauge With Precision Pins

Contour or Profile Gauges are indispensable when you need to copy an existing profile or molding. Profile gauges consist of a set of small diameter stainless steel pins that are held tightly against each other in a steel frame but can still move independently and hold their position. When pressed against a profile the gauge conforms to the profile creating a perfect negative profile and a corresponding positive profile on the other side.  These profiles can now be used to draw the contour or duplicate it on to another surface. These gauges have smaller diameter stainless steel pins which produce much smoother curves and finer details than plastic gauges.  Made in Japan.
