The Robert Sorby Spade End Cutter features an expanded cutting edge compared to the Ball End Cutter, providing superior material removal and smoothing on interior surfaces. Engineered for precise shaping, it excels on the inner contours of bowls, vases, and hollow forms, allowing controlled, consistent finishing.
Sharpening & Maintenance:
To maintain optimal performance and prolong the life of your cutter, lightly and regularly sharpen the top face using a diamond file or honing stone. Sharpening can be done while the cutter is mounted on the tool, or you can use the 472 cutter holder to reshape the profile with the Robert Sorby ProEdge system or a grinding wheel.
