This natural teardrop sharpening stone is quarried from the Malá Fatra mountains in Slovakia and is ideal for creating razor-sharp edges on carving gouges, molding plane blades, and other tools with concave edges. It’s especially well-suited for carving tools, as it maintains its shape far longer than many synthetic alternatives.
Perfect for final honing, this stone delivers smooth, consistent sharpening action and excellent wear resistance. It can be used with either water or oil and has a grit equivalent of 6000–8000, capable of producing a razor-sharp, mirror-polished edge.
