Description
This small, economical router plane is an essential addition to any woodworker’s toolkit. It excels at cleaning up small tenon cheeks, cutting hinge mortises, refining the bottom of dados, working on small inlays, and more.
The base is made from stress-relieved ductile cast iron, and the sole is precision-machined to within 0.001″ over its entire length. It features a smooth, baked-on finish for durability.
Weighing just 10 ounces, this router plane is lightweight yet sturdy. The blade is easily adjustable and locks securely in place via an adjustment knob. When not in use, the blade retracts into the base for protection. The included depth stop allows for repeatable depth mortises.
The blade is made from hardened and tempered tool steel (55-60 Rockwell C). It is 1/4″ wide and ground at a 25-degree angle. While the blade comes sharp, a final honing is recommended for optimal performance.
