The Robert Sorby Ball End Cutter features a rounded cutting profile, designed for controlled smoothing and fine shaping of interior surfaces. It is particularly effective for refining the inside contours of bowls, vases, and hollow forms, producing consistent, high-quality finishes.
Sharpening & Maintenance:
To maintain optimal performance and prolong the life of your cutter, lightly and regularly sharpen the top face using a diamond file or honing stone. Sharpening can be done while the cutter is mounted on the tool, or you can use the 472 cutter holder to reshape the profile with the Robert Sorby ProEdge system or a grinding wheel.
